The Cleveland Guardians have one of the most special players in baseball, and not just this season.
Jose Ramirez has always been a top-tier player, but it seems like he’s taking his game to a new dimension this year.
That’s why other players have nothing but the utmost respect for him, his approach to the game, his professionalism, and most importantly, his talent.
Notably, that includes former Guardians closer Cody Allen, who recently went as far as to include Ramirez on the same list with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani.
In a recent appearance on “The Carlos Baerga Show,” Allen tipped his hat to the veteran infielder, gushing about him and his impact on the game.
“Watching Jose, I’ve gotten to play with some of the greats in the game. I got to play with Trout and Ohtani in Anaheim. I got to watch some really, really good players over the years, and Jose has always been right there,” Allen said.
Jose Ramirez is a LIVING LEGEND. #GuardsBall

Ramirez recently had the longest hitting streak of his career (19 games), which is a lot to say, considering how long he’s been doing this and how great his numbers have usually been.
If it wasn’t for Aaron Judge, Ramirez would be the leading candidate to take home MVP honors in the American League.
That’s why it would be such a shame to see his big season go to waste, and why so many fans have urged the Guardians to take an aggressive approach at the trade deadline.
The team isn’t far off from contention, and with a player like Ramirez leading the way, they might be just a couple of moves away from getting over the hump.
