The American League took his tenth All-Star Game in the last 11 editions after beating the National League 5-3 on Tuesday night in Texas.
The Cleveland Guardians contributed five players to the AL All-Star roster, and all of them took part in the game: Jose Ramirez (third base) and Steven Kwan (left field) were starters, while David Fry and Josh Naylor entered later.
Emmanuel Clase closed things out in the ninth inning to get his second career All-Star save.
Most of these players were important in the American League’s win, and Bally Sports Cleveland made sure to highlight their contributions.
“The stars at night were big and bright deep in the heart of Texas!”, they tweeted with three graphs showing how these players helped in the game.

Kwan, baseball’s batting average leader heading into the second half, took two plate appearances and worked a walk.
He also scored a run and enjoyed the distinction of being the first member of the Guardians to lead off the American League roster’s lineup since Roberto Alomar did it in 2000.
Utilityman/designated hitter David Fry was playing his first Midsummer Classic, but that didn’t faze him.
Instead, he had a game-tying RBI single in the third frame and went 1-for-2.
Clase, of course, was excellent as usual in the ninth and saved the contest.
Ramirez and Naylor couldn’t get on base: the former played his sixth All-Star Game and the latter was making his debut.
It’s safe to say the Guardians left their mark as the junior circuit notched another victory.
Cleveland will now head into the second half with the best record in its league.
