On Monday, the Cleveland Guardians beat the Houston Astros and put a halt to a 10-game losing streak.
It felt like a monumental moment of joy, particularly after everything that happened in recent weeks and especially on Sunday.
The offense, widely criticized in recent days, put on a clinic, logging seven runs and 10 hits.
Six of those went for extra bases.
One of them came from Brayan Rocchio’s bat in a key moment.
Rocchio was so bad to open the season that the Guardians had to send him down, giving the shortstop position to Gabriel Arias.
However, Arias went down with an injury on June 29, which is why Rocchio is back up.
He has only three hits since returning on July 1, but two of them have been doubles, including a crucial one on Monday.
With two outs in the sixth inning, Rocchio hit a two-out two-bagger that broke a tie and gave the Guardians a 6-4 lead.

From that moment, they would not look back.
Rocchio also laid down two perfect sacrifice bunts, so he had three productive at-bats on Monday.
As he said himself, he is willing to do anything to help the team win.

His 35 wRC+ this year tells you everything you need to know about his performance.
However, in the 41 games he played at Columbus, he had a 122 wRC+.
He might not be a 122-wRC+ hitter in the majors, but he is certainly better than a 35-wRC+ one.
He will need to start showing it regularly, though, because the Guardians can’t thrive on potential alone.
They need production from him.
If he is going to contribute offensively over the rest of the season like he did on Monday, he could be a useful piece for manager Stephen Vogt.
