The Cleveland Guardians are heading into an important offseason, with plenty of chatter about their need to add more offensive firepower. Jose Ramirez remains one of the best players in baseball, but the team’s struggles at the plate showed up again during their playoff loss to the Detroit Tigers.
Trade rumors are swirling, yet Ramirez doesn’t seem bothered by any of it. He’s clearly enjoying his downtime and was recently spotted relaxing on a private jet with a group of former and current MLB players.
“Just a typical night for the most interesting man in the world Cleveland #Guardians Jose Ramirez enjoying a private jet with former MLB player Edwin Encarnacion and current MLB players Geraldo Perdomo and Noelvi Marte,” Guardians Perspective wrote.

Ramirez gave the Guardians a discount when he signed his 2022 contract extension, but that doesn’t guarantee he’ll spend his entire career in Cleveland. Earlier this offseason, he expressed frustration over what he called a broken promise from the front office regarding their spending. It was an eye-opening comment from a player who rarely invites controversy and is considered one of the most loyal stars in the league.
Still, if anyone can push the front office to upgrade the roster, it’s Ramirez. The Guardians desperately need another bat or two, and failing to make meaningful additions would feel like a disservice to a team that expects to be a serious contender by 2026.
