The Cleveland Guardians have always hung their hats on their ability to get the job done on the mound. They have rarely been an offensive team, and that’s not going to be the case in 2026, either.
With that in mind, it only makes sense that those who take the mound put in extensive work in the offseason. That’s certainly the case with Tim Herrin.
As shown by Guardians Prospective on X, Herrin is taking care of business at PRP Baseball in Indiana. The southpaw hurler could have a major role out of the bullpen next season.

The Guardians entered the offseason with a major need for help on offense. They have yet to make a single move to solve those issues so far.
Instead, they’ve continued to strengthen their bullpen. That hints at a major competition for playing time, and as such, players like Herrin need to be at the top of their games to prove that they’re worthy of a chance.
The Guardians had one of the best bullpens in the game last season. They also have an elite pitching coaching staff, perhaps one of the five best in all of baseball.
That being said, there’s always plenty of volatility between seasons, and the Guardians turned to their bullpen early and often last year, and that can be quite taxing on the players. Even so, it would’ve been nice to see the front office addressing multiple needs in the offseason instead of focusing solely on the reliever corps.
