The Cleveland Guardians have been up and down this season.
Nevertheless, regardless of what happens, they can always rely on their superstar veteran.
Jose Ramirez is one of the hottest players in all of baseball right now, and he’s coming off a May for the ages.
As shown by the Cleveland Guardians On SI on X, Ramirez posted a .386 batting average with a .451 OBP, a .634 SLG, a 1.085 OPS, and a 207 wRC+ last month.

Ramirez’s recent play has fueled an intense debate among Guardians fans and pundits.
Some argue that, with the trade deadline closing in, perhaps it’s time the Guardians consider moving on from some of their higher-echelon prospects to get some players who can help this team win now.
Of course, that’s not usually how small-market teams operate, and definitely not how a financially-conscious team like the Guardians usually handles these kinds of situations.
They even made some big moves to shed money off their payroll despite coming off a trip to the ALCS last season.
Then again, this is at least worth considering.
Ramirez is, by all means, one of the best players in all of baseball right now, and he’s proven that he’s more than capable of putting the team on his shoulders when he’s at his best.
He’s earned the right to demand some more help, and as one of the greatest players in franchise history, the team owes it to him to at least consider all their options and weigh in on the possibility of making a big splash.
