The Cleveland Guardians desperately needed a win on Wednesday night.
Fortunately, their All-Star outfielder was there to give them a helping hand.
Steven Kwan was lights out when the team needed him the most.
As shown by StatMuse on X, he went 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI to secure a much-needed 8-1 win.
Kwan had six hits in three games vs. the Red Sox this week.

Hopefully, this will be a turning point for the All-Star outfielder.
Kwan hasn’t been his usual self at the plate since the All-Star break, and with the Guardians in postseason mode to close out the season, they will need one of their best players to help Jose Ramirez carry the load.
Kwan was tangled up in trade rumors leading up to the deadline, and that may have also played a role in his slump.
It’s hard to stay focused with so much outside noise, and with all the rumblings surrounding him and his contract extension with the team, he may not have been in the best headspace at the moment.
Now, his camp and the team can halt those negotiations until the winter.
The Guardians could still choose to move on from him and trade him before he gets too expensive, which would be in line with their usual m.o.
Kwan, however, has emerged as one of the best outfielders in the game, not to mention a fan favorite, so they should be extremely careful with the way they deal with this situation.
