Jose Ramirez is an unstoppable force of nature.
He’s established himself as the absolute best third baseman in the entire league, and it’s not particularly close.
That’s evident in the eye test, but examining his numbers makes it even more obvious.
As pointed out by Sleeper Guardians on X, the Dominican superstar is the only player in MLB to record at least 1,000 games, at least 1,000 hits, 750 RBIs, 250 home runs, and 200 stolen bases in the past decade.

Ramirez is currently having one of the best seasons of his 13-year career.
He should be a legitimate MVP candidate, but given Aaron Judge’s insane numbers and the fact that he plays for a small-market team, he might not get that opportunity.
Even so, he’s by far one of the best players in the world, not to mention a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.
He’s a unique and special type of player, and you just can’t part ways with that kind of guy despite the recent trade rumors; it sends the wrong message.
If anything, the Guardians should look to add more firepower to their offense to give their superstar infielder the type of supporting cast he needs to succeed.
Ramirez has established himself as a dominant force, but even the best players need some help to go the distance.
