When it’s all said and done, Jose Ramirez will be one of the all-time leaders in multiple categories for the Cleveland Guardians.
The third baseman has been one of the most consistent players in baseball for a while now.
Unlike other great players, he’s not putting up empty numbers. He’s helping his team win.
To put it in context, Rafa Nieves of Republik Sports shared that Ramirez ranks in the top five in fWAR in the American League every year since 2016.

It takes a special type of player to have that type of consistency for almost a decade, and Ramirez and New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge are the only ones who make that list since then.
While Judge gets most of the headlines and is usually acknowledged as one of the best players in the game, Ramirez often goes overlooked.
Of course, plenty of that has to do with the fact that he plays for a small-market team and he’s not constantly crushing home runs.
Then again, it’s about time he gets the recognition he deserves.
Ramirez has established himself as arguably the best third baseman in the game.
More than that, he’s been the main reason why the Guardians have been able to stay in the playoff race.
