The Cleveland Guardians need help on offense.
They’re not getting much production from anyone other than Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan and Carlos Santana.
Kyle Manzardo and Daniel Schneemann have been regular contributors, but that’s not enough.
That’s why MLB analyst Grant Puskar pointed out that, as fans complain about the Guardians’ offensive struggles, Angel Martinez hasn’t done much to help the cause.
The 23-year-old has been in a major slump since May 1, logging a .186 batting average with a .540 OPS.

The Guardians have some interesting options to consider.
Most people expected Travis Bazzana to be called up at some point in the season, and he was doing more than enough in the minors to earn that honor.
Unfortunately, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft is injured, pushing back his potential MLB debut by a couple of months, at least.
Once Bazzana is back to full strength, the Guardians should strongly consider having him out there as the starting second baseman.
In the meantime, however, they need to find an answer.
The Guardians entered this season with question marks on offense, and while they’ve been efficient after the sixth inning, they haven’t done much to solve them.
The trade deadline is looming large, and though the Guardians usually aren’t aggressive buyers, they may need to do something this time.
