The fanbase of the Cleveland Guardians was treated to an unexpected thrill of a season in 2022.
Led by Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan, Shane Bieber, Triston McKenzie, and Emmanuel Clase, the Guardians surprised a lot of people, winning 92 games in their first year under the new name and capturing the AL Central crown.
The team took care of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Wild Card Series and fell just short in the ALDS against the New York Yankees.
Throughout the season, fans brought unparalleled energy to Progressive Field.
That energy appears to have gotten the attention of opposing fans, and one fan stated on Twitter that the Guardians fanbase looks “really fun to be a part of.”
