The youth movement is on in Cleveland.
Cleveland Guardians rookie Nolan Jones is off to a tremendous start just a few games into his MLB career.
A former top prospect, the third baseman and outfielder was called up to the big-league club on Friday ahead of the Guardians series with the Kansas City Royals.
It’s safe to say Jones had a pretty good series, as he blasted his first career home run in the second game as the Guardians rolled to a 13-1 victory.
Sarah Langs of MLB.com tweeted some statistics from Jones’ first four MLB games, and let’s just say he’s already making a little history.
Nolan Jones' 8 RBI in his 1st 4 career games are tied with 1936 Roy Weatherly for most in 1st 4 career games in Cleveland history since RBI official (1920)
He’s the 15th overall with 8+ RBI in his 1st 4 career games in span
Also, game isn’t over yet. Record is 11 (2016 T Story)

Jones Makes History
Jones is proving to be a smart call-up for the Guardians.
When you have eight RBI in your first four games, you’re doing something right.
The 24-year-old is already hitting .538 with a 1.548 OPS and one home run.
As Langs noted in her tweet, Jones is the 15th player in MLB history with at least eight RBI through his first four games, at least since RBI became an official stat, tying a franchise-record Roy Weatherly set in 1936.
The all-time record for RBI through four games was set by Trevor Story in 2016.
Jones appears to be one of those players who is locked in from the start and proving to be a tough one right from the get-go.
He also made a tremendous play in the outfield last night to rob Chicago White Sox star Luis Robert.
We’ll have to wait and see what the rest of the season has in store for Jones.
This is a promising start for sure.
Maybe he can help get the Guardians back on track and get back in the race for the AL Central.
