Cleveland Guardians rookie Nolan Jones couldn’t have dreamed of a better start to his MLB tenure.
He is hitting .333/.455/.519 in 10 games and 33 plate appearances after belting three homers in Triple-A.
He is universally seen as one of the best position player prospects in the Guardians’ system, and seems eager to keep his spot in the lineup and on the major league roster due to his inspired play.
He has one home run: a 457-foot blast to the fountains in Kansas City, proof that his raw power is significant and he will get to it more in games as he matures.
Overall, he couldn’t have asked for more.
Bally Sports Cleveland discussed with him how big a breakthrough he has had in the majors.

Family Support Has Been Crucial For Jones
The video is worth watching: he speaks about how cool is it to share this moment with his family, and how his parents told him they are proud of him.
He says he is living in a dream, and also stated he has a bet going with his brother that involves a tattoo.
Jones’ arrival has represented good news for a Guardians lineup that often struggles to produce many runs.
He doesn’t have elite, game-changing power yet but has enormous potential in that department.
Adding his excellent on-base skills that guarantee he will be on base often, the Guardians can certainly benefit from having a hitter like him in the lineup.
If developed correctly, Jones could one day become a top hitter in the American League, and the best thing is that Cleveland has him, at least, for the next six years at a relatively low cost.
He has been one of the most pleasant surprises in baseball in the last couple of weeks.
The Guardians hope he can stay hot.
