Jose Ramirez is in his 12th year with the Cleveland Guardians and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, especially in the power department.
After that many years with the team, it’s no surprise that Ramirez is starting to find himself among some impressive names in the record books, and his most recent homer did exactly that by tying him with a franchise legend.
Ramirez already has 10 homers this season and is on pace for 36 this season, and his tenth blast tied him for fourth place on the franchise’s all-time list with Earl Averill, per Jeremy Feador.

Ramirez is tied with Averill at 226 home runs and at his current pace will finish this season in the No. 2 spot, as Manny Ramirez is next up at 236 home runs and Albert Belle is second at 242.
He has a long way to go to catch the all-time leader, which is Jim Thome at 337 homers.
Thome’s mark isn’t out of reach, as a 36-homer season this year would put Ramirez at 268 and have him in a position where three more 25-homer seasons would make him the all-time Guardians leader.
Nobody else on the active roster is even close, so if Ramirez can get this record, he’ll hold it for quite a while.
The Guardians are off to a strong start and have a 1.5-game lead over the Royals in the AL Central, and Ramirez has been carrying the offense alongside Josh Naylor and Steven Kwan.
It’s cool to see Ramirez knocking off big names on this all-time list, and keep an eye out for him eclipsing Manny and Belle this summer.
