For years, Cleveland Guardians slugger Jose Ramirez has been one of the game’s most underrated stars.
Perhaps it’s the fact he doesn’t play in New York or Los Angeles, or that he isn’t really very vocal, but many people often take him for granted when he has proven time and time again that he is one of the best players in Guardians history.
Ramirez started the season somewhat cold at the plate.
However, he has turned up the heat in May and is already among the league leaders in many offensive categories.
His torrid May helped him show up on an important MLB list: the hitter power rankings.

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge appears first, and it’s very much deserved.
After that, you can actually make a case that J-Ram is hotter than each and every one of the remaining players in the top 10.
For the season, the third baseman is hitting a cool .271/.326/.557 with 16 home runs, an .883 OPS, and a league-leading 56 RBI.
Here are his May numbers, in case you were wondering: .294/.371/.696, 11 home runs, 32 RBI, 13 walks, 12 strikeouts, four stolen bases, and a 1.067 OPS.
Ramirez single-handedly carried the Guardians this month, and is one of the main reasons why they have one of the best records in baseball.
When Ramirez is hitting like this, the Guards will be very hard to beat and he will likely be competing for multiple individual end-of-the-season awards.
And now that Steven Kwan is back from his injury, his RBI tally will likely keep growing.
