The Cleveland Guardians have one of the best players in MLB on their roster.
Jose Ramirez is not only a fan favorite, but he is also a perennial MVP candidate who has been consistently great since taking the next step in 2016.
One of his main traits is his ability to hit home runs and steal bases.
If he doesn’t produce runs with his power, he puts himself in a position to score them with his feet.
It’s as simple as that: the important thing is that he is always making plays.
For his career, J-Ram has hit 216 home runs and stolen 202 bases.
In 2023, he knocked 24 balls out of the park and swiped 28 bags.
You won’t ever see him hit 45 homers in a season, or steal 40 bases.
20 and 20?
You can bet on it.
In fact, no player has accumulated more campaigns with at least 20 of each among active players.
Only Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout has as many as him.
“José RamÃrez is tied with Mike Trout for the most seasons with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases, among active players,” Baseball Reference tweeted.

Trea Turner, Randy Arozarena, Trevor Story, Francisco Lindor, Mookie Betts, and Andrew McCutchen have three each.
At the top of the list, we see Ramirez and Trout with five.
The funniest thing is that despite Trout being an all-time great, if we go by recent performance, the most likely player of the two to yield another 20-20 year in 2024 is Ramirez.
He has five consecutive 162-game seasons with at least 20 long balls and 20 thefts.
Trout hasn’t stolen more than 20 bases since 2018.
When it comes to power, speed, and consistency, you won’t find a better player than Ramirez.
