Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez recently made history.
He hit three home runs against the Los Angeles Angels, and they ended up being the difference in an 8-6 win.
Ramirez surpassed the 1.000 OPS threshold and reached four homers on the young season.
It looks like his quest to enter the 40-40 club is off to a nice start.
After the game, Ramirez was interviewed by Guardians reporter Andre Knott.
The exchange was basically a reminder to pitchers about what not to do.
“Do NOT throw Jose Ramirez the home run pitch,” MLB wrote on X.

If there was a way to inject a video into one’s veins, Guardians fans would surely choose this one.
In his typical playful style, Ramirez said “home run pitch” three times, and it was glorious.
Unfortunately for the Angels, they found out the hard way that they should approach Ramirez much more carefully.
Angels starter Jose Soriano made the same mistake in the first inning and the fifth inning.
Then, in the ninth inning, it was young righty Caden Dana serving up a home run to Ramirez.
He hit 39 last year and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Ramirez remains at the top of his game and likely holds the keys to the Guardians’ 2025 fate.
He is one of the most exciting, consistent and reliable stars in the game right now, as he has been for years.
