The Cleveland Guardians’ best player just received another major acknowledgement.
Jose Ramirez’s epic season couldn’t go unnoticed, and the third baseman is a finalist for the 2025 Silver Slugger Award.
He joins Junior Caminero and Alex Bregman, and while both of them are worthy competitors, neither is on Ramirez’s level.

While he wasn’t as impressive as he was last season, the All-Star was still elite.
He slashed .283/.360/.503 with 30 home runs, 85 RBIs, 34 doubles and 44 stolen bases.
He posted his highest batting average in a full season since 2017, and also had his most stolen bases.
He was also the only Guardians player to bat at least .280
Cleveland had one of the worst offenses in baseball this season, and it would’ve been much worse if not for its franchise player.
He’s won this award five times, including last season.
Another victory would put Ramirez two away from tying Wade Boggs for the most by any AL third baseman, and it’s hard to believe he’s not going to compete for it multiple times in the future.
Ramirez likely has already done enough to be a strong Hall of Fame candidate, even if he never wins the World Series.
He’s already a franchise legend, and if he stays healthy as he gets older, he has everything it takes to become its all-time leader in multiple major stats.
