MLB teams usually win a lot of games when they out-homer the opposing squad.
It’s simple math: home runs represent easy, quick runs, often in bunches when they find people on base.
That’s why when a team has a guy who homers twice in a game, the chances of winning are incredibly high.
You can say, after Friday’s power outburst, that Jose Ramirez has put the Guardians in a position to win more times than any other hitter in franchise history.
“Setting a new standard… With his two home runs tonight against the Angels, José Ramírez has the most games with at least two homers and four RBI in @CleGuardians franchise history,” Bally Sports Cleveland tweeted.

When one of your players hits two long balls and tallies four RBI in a single game, all you need is your pitching to do a somewhat decent job to win the game.
It’s that simple: the Guardians won on Friday and scored runs in the double digits.
Ramirez just passed a franchise great, Manny Ramirez, with the most two-homer, four-RBI games in the history of the Guardians.
He keeps breaking records and climbing up the all-time Guardians lists in many statistical categories.
When all is said and done, he will be a proud member of the Guardians Hall of Fame and it will be very much deserving.
Right now, he is white-hot and has been helping Cleveland occupy the top spot on the AL Central division with an incredible 34-17 record.
You can’t ask for much more from him.
