Cleveland Guardians superstar Jose Ramirez turned back the clock on Monday night.
Against the Milwaukee Brewers, he did something he hadn’t done in four years: steal three bases in a single game.
The first two thefts tied him with Terry Turner for third in Cleveland franchise history, at 254.
But then he decided to run wild once more and surpassed Turner.
“Ramírez is now all alone in third place. He advanced to second on a wild pitch, stole third, and scored on a bloop single by Manzardo,” team insider Tim Stebbins posted on X.

The Guardians decided to wreak havoc against catcher William Contreras and the Brewers, swiping five bags in total: the three by Ramirez, and one each by Angel Martinez and Steven Kwan.
That’s how Cleveland turned just six hits into five runs, by being aggressive on the basepaths.
Ramirez might not be hitting for much power this season, even though his six home runs are nothing to sneeze at.
However, he is running often, showing that he wants his stolen base tally to be high.
After the three bags he took on Monday night, his total for the season stands at 12, which means he projects to steal a little over 47 when the regular season is over.
Can he maintain such an elite pace? Nobody knows, but it goes to show he is in tip-top shape and that he is still hungry and eager to put his body on the line to increase the team’s chances of scoring some runs.
Ramirez is unlikely to catch up to the franchise leader in steals, Kenny Lofton (452), but it doesn’t matter: his place in Guardians’ history is more than secure anyway.
