For years, Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has been one of the best and most consistent players in the league.
Few players in MLB have the combination of power and speed that Ramirez boasts.
Speaking of speed, J-Ram recently tied a former franchise great from the dead ball era.
“With 207 career stolen bases, @MrLapara has now tied @baseballhall Elmer Flick for 6th all-time in @CleGuardians franchise history. Flick’s 207th stolen base with Cleveland came in a 15 inning loss on May 21, 1910,” Guardians historian Jeremy Feador tweeted.

On Sunday, Ramirez stole his fifth base of the season in the victory against the Los Angeles Angels.
It was the 207th of his brilliant career, which ties him with Flick.
Flick is an underrated Hall of Famer and a Cleveland legend.
Now, Ramirez has tied him.
The perennial MVP candidate is off to a slow start, with a .230/.279/.415 line, six homers, five steals, and a .694 OPS.
Considering his successful, ongoing run as one of the top hitters in the American League, he will likely get hot in no time.
As for the stolen bases, his next target in franchise history is Ray Chapman, with 233.
Kenny Lofton is the all-time franchise leader in the stat, with 452.
As long as he is healthy and motivated, Ramirez has a chance to catch Chapman either late in 2024 or early in 2025.
He keeps re-writing Guardians history with a unique combination of talent and determination.
