The Cleveland Guardians might not have the most potent offense, but their ceiling is quite high if some breakouts occur.
Even if they don’t take place, they currently have one of the steadiest, most consistent offensive performers in baseball on the roster.
His name is Jose Ramirez, and he plays third base.
The folks at FOX Sports: MLB have been ranking players by position, and they favor Ramirez in a highly competitive field at the hot corner.
Here is their top-10 third basemen for the 2024 campaign, with J-Ram at the top ahead of some really good players.

Ramirez can do it all on a baseball field: he has impressive bat-to-ball skills that have led to a career .279 batting average, he has enough power to hit 30+ home runs any given year, he can work walks, he has sneaky speed, he is a solid fielder, and has an underrated arm.
At least to the people of FOX Sports, he is better than Nolan Arenado, Austin Riley, Alex Bregman, Rafael Devers, and Manny Machado, among others.
He might not talk much, but he has embraced his role as one of the most respected Guardians in the clubhouse.
This is a guy who has been an MVP candidate (some might say a deserving winner in 2020), has won four Silver Slugger awards, and has been to five All-Star Games.
He is one of just a handful of hitters with at least 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases in their careers.
In 2024, Ramirez will be leading a young, talented team as it looks to return to the postseason.
They didn’t make it to October last year, but were in the thick of things the year before.
With J-Ram healthy, locked and loaded, the Guards will try to make 2024 their year.
