Jose Ramirez had yet another season to remember in 2022.
As the Cleveland Guardians came out of nowhere to surprise the baseball world, Ramirez led the way, hitting .280 with 29 home runs and 126 RBI during the regular season.
The 30-year-old also accomplished quite an impressive feat during the season.
While he isn’t known for his strikeouts, he especially isn’t known for striking out looking.
In fact, during the regular season, Ramirez only struck out looking six times.
A graphic on Twitter shows each and every pitch Ramirez struck out looking on this season.
Three of them were four-seam fastballs, two were sinkers, and one was a splitter.
José Ramírez struck out looking only 6 times all season long! 😮

J-Ram’s Impressive Accomplishments
By the looks of the graph, some of the pitches that Ramirez was called out on were borderline pitches and could have gone either way.
But Ramirez was clearly not fooled by too many pitches this season.
Hitters always hate to strike out looking, and Ramirez appears to be no different, having only done so a total of six times.
But for it to only happen six times during a season is impressive.
Ramirez had an OPS of .869 during the season and hit 44 doubles and five triples.
He also registered 309 total bases and had a grand total of just 82 strikeouts.
Ramirez certainly showed poise in the batter’s box and was not an easy hitter to strike out by any means.
As the graph shows, pitchers had to be very selective when trying to strike out Ramirez, with several of the pitches thrown being borderline pitches.
