The Cleveland Guardians continue to roll.
They just got their 16th win in their last 22 games, and they refuse to give up in their pursuit of a postseason berth.
This time, they did so with an unlikely hero on the mound.
As pointed out by Cleveland sports writer Tom Withers, Gaddis just logged his first career save.
First career save for Gaddis. Guards move two over .500. 16-6 stretch.

He was on the mound in the ninth to secure a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Twins, giving up one hit while striking out three hitters.
Gaddis had to step up after Cade Smith had a 23-pitch outing on Friday and needed some rest.
10 of his 15 pitches were strikes, and he now looks like a legitimate option for Stephen Vogt’s team.
Emmanuel Clase is still on non-disciplinary paid leave because of his alleged involvement in a sports betting investigation, and it doesn’t look like we’re going to get any clarity on his situation this season.
As such, Smith and Gaddis will most likely be in charge of holding down the fort in the ninth.
Gaddis spent most of the first half of the season in a setup role, and he has somewhat regressed by posting a 3.30 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 54 strikeouts and 16 walks.
He’s also logged 22 holds and has blown three saves in 46.1 innings.
The Guardians are now two games above .500 and inching closer to the final wild card spot in the American League, and Gaddis will have plenty to do with their ability to stay in postseason contention until the end of the season.
