MLB Pipeline posted its list of top 100 prospects this week.
There are four members of the Cleveland Guardians organization present on the list: second baseman Travis Bazzana, outfielders Chase DeLauter and Jaison Chourio, and shortstop Angel Genao.
Bazzana, at number ten, is the highest-ranked prospect in the organization.
“Travis Bazzana, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 #MLBDraft, lands at No. 10 on the 2025 Top 100 Prospects list,” MLB Pipeline posted on X.

In its writeup, MLB Pipeline writes that “Bazzana has a compact left-handed swing with quality bat speed and makes excellent swing decisions, leaving him with no obvious weakness at the plate. He rarely chases, makes contact with ease while generating upper-echelon exit velocities, and produces against lefties and righties and all types of pitches.”
They also praise his excellent bat-to-ball skills and say that he boasts plus raw power.
Now, raw power is not the same as game power, which is the one that teams really would like to see in their prospects.
The Guardians, as well as prospect evaluators, believe Bazzana can develop game power soon thanks to his bat control and ability to barrel the ball.
During his first taste of professional ball last year, the Australian slashed .238/.369/.396 in 27 games at High-A Lake County.
He added three homers and five stolen bases.
There is some swing-and-miss in his game, but his ability to take walks fueled his value last year, and the Guardians think there could be more homers and steals in 2025.
His fielding ability at the keystone is not elite, but it’s good enough for him to stay there long-term.
It’s unclear where Bazzana will open the year, but there is an outside chance he will earn his way to the majors in the summer or the stretch run.
He is the future face of the Guardians.
