Cleveland Guardians prospect and No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft Travis Bazzana made his professional debut this weekend.
He played second base on Friday and notched his first RBI as a pro.
On Sunday, however, he showcased a bit more of his repertoire.
It was a day of firsts for the Australian prospect.
“First hit. First extra-base hit. First multihit game. #Guardians No. 1 pick Travis Bazzana checked off a few more milestones in his second game for High-A Lake County,” MLB Pipeline tweeted.

Bazzana hit a leadoff double that was not far from leaving the park, showcasing some of the power that makes him so special and promising.
He also notched a single and now knows how it feels to have a multihit game as a professional hitter.
The Guardians hope is the first of many: he is expected to be the second baseman of the future in a year or two.
In his last season at Oregon State, Bazzana hit 28 home runs in 60 games and posted a 1.479 OPS.
He also stole 16 bases.
The Guards hope he can move quickly through the minors, but they won’t rush him, especially when they have the best record in the American League.
For now, he seems to be doing just fine with the Lake County Captains of High-A.
He has two hits in seven at-bats (.286 batting average), and while he doesn’t have any walks and has struck out four times, the team is confident his plate discipline numbers will improve once he gets more comfortable with professional pitchers and his new surroundings.
He is a special prospect, and Guardians fans are incredibly excited.
