The MLB All-Star Game will take place in Arlington, Texas, on July 16.
A day before, however, some of the game’s brightest stars will take the field to compete in the Home Run Derby.
Through the years, the Home Run Derby has brought fans some exciting battles and epic moments, and some people even like it better than the All-Star Game itself.
Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez will be part of this year’s edition.
He might not have the size of a slugger, but the numbers speak for themselves: he has as much of a chance as everybody else.
“One of the best hitters in the game has entered the chat. José Ramírez has announced his participation in the #HRDerby!” the Guardians announced via Twitter.

Ramirez is up to 23 home runs this season, which is good enough to rank him third in the American League in a tie with Anthony Santander.
This won’t be the first time J-Ram takes part in MLB’s premier power competition.
He is still a top power hitter in MLB, even if he is already close to turning 32.
He is slashing a cool .269/.320/.526 and is among the league leaguers in RBI with 76.
Listed at 5’9” and 190 pounds, J-Ram has managed to hit 239 home runs over his brilliant career thanks to elite barrel control and his ability to pull fly balls.
Fans will be able to watch and enjoy one of the most prolific sluggers of the last decade.
The entire city of Cleveland will be rooting for Ramirez, who hopes to put on a show in Texas.
