The Cleveland Guardians were eliminated from the 2024 playoffs on Saturday as they lost game 5 of the American League Championship Series to the New York Yankees.
With the loss, the Guardians’ season is over, and the Yankees have advanced to the World Series, where they will play either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the New York Mets.
Although it is hard to come so close to a World Series appearance, the Guardians organization is proud of its team and had a message for its fans.
According to Cleveland Guardians on ‘X,’ the Guardians would like to say, “Thank You Fans.”
We love you guys. 🫶
There wasn't an ounce of quit in our team all season, and our fans stuck by our side through all of the highs and lows. Thank you for your support, and we'll see you all next season at The Corner. #ForTheLand | #GuardsBall pic.twitter.com/68aJAnzu2f

Guardians’ fans stuck with their team throughout the entire 2024 season and postseason including all of the highs and lows, and they never gave up until the last pitch of the season.
The Guardians finished the regular season with a record of 92 wins and 69 losses, which was good enough for an American League Central title.
Their postseason also included a series win against American League Central rivals the Detroit Tigers in five games in the American League Division Series.
It was their first ALCS appearance since losing the World Series in 2016, and overall, it appears they had a successful season.
The Guardians have one of the youngest rosters in all of Major League Baseball, and they will look to regroup and prepare for another run in the 2025 season.
They will be looking for their first back-to-back American League Central titles since the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
One move they could look to make in the offseason is adding another starting pitcher to their rotation.
