The Cleveland Guardians intend to inspire those around them, but not only on the field.
MLB is more than players hitting, pitching, and fielding for fun and money.
Players are seen as heroes and role models by young kids following and enjoying the game, whether they like it or not or whether they should be considered as such.
Those who dedicate some of their time to the fans, especially the little ones, will get to experience a sense of fulfillment and happiness that it’s hard to describe with words.
Three key members of the Guardians gave away some of their valuable time to serve as coaches for young kids at St. Ignatius this weekend.
“Stephen Vogt, Jhonkensy Noel, and Cade Smith joined a group of young ballplayers at St. Ignatius for today’s baseball skills camp! The trio coached the kids through agility drills, demonstrated fielding baseballs, and encouraged the young athletes while they practiced throwing. Thank you to all of our young athletes that joined us today!” @CLEinspires, the official account of the Guardians’ community efforts, wrote on X.

For the young aspiring players, it meant the world to see the 2024 American League Manager of the Year give them pointers and instructions.
It was also a wholesome experience for them to interact with two standout rookies of the 2024 Guards: ‘Big Christmas’ Jhonkensy Noel and star reliever Cade Smith.
If you ask the players, they would likely say they also had a great time.
The Guardians are winning, both on the field and off of it.
When they aren’t playing high-leverage games, they are winning over fans.
