The American League Championship Series is underway between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees.
Game 1 was taken by the Yankees by a score of 5-2 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Guardians starting pitcher Alex Cobb threw 2.2 innings and allowed 5 hits, 3 earned runs, 3 walks, and struck out 3.
On Tuesday, the Guardians announced 2 roster moves made before game 2.
According to GuardsInsider on ‘X,’ the Guardians have added right-handed pitcher Ben Lively to the ALCS roster in place of Cobb.

Cobb appears to have suffered an injury, described as an acute left lower back strain, which caused him to leave his start early on Monday.
The move can be seen as a downgrade for the Guardians as Cobb is a veteran pitcher with the postseason experience that Lively lacks.
It has been an injury-riddled season for Cobb who spent the beginning of the regular season recovering from an off-season hip surgery.
Cobb only pitched in 3 games during the regular season where he had a record of 2 wins and 1 loss with a 2.76 earned run average and 10 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched.
Lively started 29 games for the Guardians in 2024 and held a record of 13 wins and 10 losses with a 3.81 earned run average and 118 strikeouts in 151.0 innings pitched.
Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday, and right-handed pitcher Tanner Bibee is scheduled to start for the Guardians.
It will be an important game for the Guardians as they hope to head back to Cleveland in a tied series rather than being down 2-0.
Bibee will have his work cut out for him in game 2 as he will go up against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole.
