The Cleveland Guardians have been up and down this season.
However, even when things don’t go their way, they can trust Jose Ramirez to put them in a position to win.
That’s why, given his unmatched production, talent, and charisma, betting on him to be a starter in the 2025 All-Star Game would be a wise wager.
At least, that’s how Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report feels.
In his latest column, he predicted that the Guardians’ superstar infielder was a lock to start for the American League:
“Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., Cal Raleigh and José Ramírez should all be locks for the AL starting lineup, with a clear edge over their positional counterparts in both production and popularity,” Reuter wrote.
Ramirez has been one of the hottest hitters in the league this season, especially as of late.
He just went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the loss to the Houston Astros on Saturday.
He scored a couple of runs and was walked twice, but it wasn’t enough to prevent his team from losing 5-3.
Ramirez recently rode a 21-game hitting streak, which came to an end on May 30.
Now, he’s riding a new seven-game hitting streak, and he’s had multiple hits in five of those seven games.
He’s now up to 26 multi-hit games for the season, and he currently boasts the sixth-highest OPS in all of Major League Baseball (.948).
The Guardians might not play in the biggest market, but Jose Ramirez is the kind of box-office player that will always turn heads and make people tune in, and there’s no one more worthy of being a starter in the All-Star Game than him right now, and not just in the American League.
