Some people may think that the Cleveland Guardians are extremely worried about their rotation.
After all, Shane Bieber is approaching free agency and the odds of him being traded are definitely not zero; and Triston McKenzie has suffered specific injuries that have kept him away from the mound more than he would have liked.
However, the team rests easy knowing that a trio of rookies showed in 2023 that the future is in their hands.
Tanner Bibee, Gavin Williams, and Logan Allen all logged important innings for the Guardians this season, and all of them thrived.
The team highlighted its trio of excellent young pitchers on Twitter.

Between Bibee, Williams, and Allen, they had a 3.35 ERA in 2023: that was the lowest ERA by a rookie trio in the American League in the last 10 seasons.
Bibee posted a 2.98 ERA in 142 frames, cementing his place as the future ace of this team.
Williams pitched 82 innings of a 3.29 ERA, while Allen had a 3.81 mark in 125.1 frames.
If that wasn’t enough, another rookie proved to be a useful arm, too: Xzavion Curry had a 4.07 ERA in 95 innings.
With McKenzie and Bieber, this Guardians team has enough pitching in the system to feel good about their chances in 2024 and beyond.
It’s the offense that’s the unit that should worry them the most, though.
If the Guardians are able to find at least three or four impact bats through trade, free agency, or minor league promotion, they could really challenge the Minnesota Twins for the AL Central title.
