The Cleveland Guardians have had, in general, a strong spring.
They have mostly avoided major injuries (with a few notable exceptions such as Gavin Williams and Trevor Stephan), and some of their key pitchers (Shane Bieber), hitters (Jose Ramirez, Andres Gimenez), and prospects (Chase DeLauter, Angel Martinez) performed admirably.
They are now nearing the end of the line when it comes to exhibition games, and getting ready for Opening Day on March 28.
The Guards’ official Twitter account published Tuesday’s lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and it contains some big names and projected starters.

Steven Kwan, Andres Gimenez, Josh Naylor, Will Brennan, and Ramon Laureano (from 1 through 5 in that batting order) are all projected starters for Opening Day.
The same can be said about Brayan Rocchio, who has been informed he made the roster and is expected to play shortstop most days.
Gabriel Arias should be a valuable utility player and his offense has been picking up in recent days.
Of the projected regulars, only Ramirez and Bo Naylor are missing.
They are expected to man third base and catcher, respectively.
Tyler Freeman, another Tuesday absence, will probably be the Opening Day center fielder.
Offensively, the lineup appears to be in a much better place to open the 2024 campaign compared to last year.
They lost Myles Straw’s glove, but replaced him with more offensive potential in Freeman and Laureano.
Plus, Brennan and Rocchio (and Arias) have breakout appeal.
This year, Cleveland should have a better offense.
If they want to advance to the postseason, they need to make sure that’s exactly the case.
