Fans of the Cleveland Guardians are certainly happy to have veteran first baseman Josh Bell in the fold for 2023.
The slugger agreed to a two-year, $33 million deal with the team on Tuesday.
But Guardians fans want more, and understandably so.
Cleveland was one of many teams that had been linked to Oakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy.
The A’s have been actively shopping their star catcher with top prospect Shea Langeliers waiting in the wings.
Now, Guardians fans are dreaming of having Murphy behind the plate in 2023.
A fan on Twitter posted a cool photoshop edit of Murphy wearing Guardians gear.

Guardians Fans Dream Of Murphy Trade
Guardians fans are certainly hoping for a big acquisition this offseason, perhaps as an early Christmas present.
Murphy won a Gold Glove in 2021 with the A’s and now is the center of trade talks.
The Guardians have a hole at the catcher position with Austin Hedges now a free agent.
A trade for Murphy would help them fill that hole, and do so with a former Gold Glove Award winner.
At the plate, the 28-year-old had a career year.
In 537 at-bats, the former Gold Glover hit .250 with 18 home runs and 66 RBI.
Defensively is where Murphy shines the most.
The young catcher posted a .991 fielding percentage and registered 878 putouts.
He also made just eight errors and caught 19 runners attempting to steal.
The Guardians will certainly have to give up a haul in order to acquire Murphy, perhaps even some talent already on the big-league roster.
But fans can certainly dream.
