The second half of the 2022 season is now officially upon us.
This season has been a treat so far, but now it’s time for the stretch run.
The Cleveland Guardians enter the second half within striking distance of the AL Central title and the final AL Wild Card spot.
Thanks to their All-Stars, Jose Ramirez, Andres Gimenez, and Emmanuel Clase, they have remained in position to make a run.
But now the Guardians face a major test to begin the second half.
They’ll have to deal with the Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Bally Sports Cleveland tweeted a graphic featuring the Guardians upcoming schedule.

Guardians Set For A Tough Stretch
This is going to be a tough stretch for the Guardians, and it’s probably where we’ll ultimately find out if the team is a true contender or if they’re just a .500 ballclub.
How they play during this stretch of games will likely determine what Cleveland decides to do at the trade deadline.
Both the AL Wild Card race and the AL Central are wide open.
There’s a lot to unpack here in the second half.
Perhaps the Guardians could make a few moves to give them a leg up during this stretch.
If not, how they play during this stretch will be key for them in deciding what their deadline strategy is.
Again, the Guardians are right in the thick of the postseason race.
The AL Central is a very winnable division, and the Wild Card race is also wide open.
The Guardians are going to play 11 road games in 10 days, with tomorrow being a doubleheader against the White Sox.
This is a tough stretch for sure, but not an impossible one.
