The Cleveland Guardians earned a come-from-behind win against the New York Yankees on Tuesday.
They were in a 0-2 hole and ended up flipping the score and taking the game 3-2 in front of their fans at Progressive Field.
The win, combined with the Detroit Tigers’ loss at home, gave the Guardians something they hadn’t had in a while.
“The Detroit Tigers just lost 2-0 to the San Diego Padres at Comerica Park. Your Cleveland Guardians are all alone in first place atop the AL Central Division,” Cleveland sports anchor Nick Camino posted on X.

Cleveland has won five games in a row, two of which have come against the Yankees.
They have an opportunity to sweep the Yanks at home for the first time since 1970, which would be a cool achievement if you ask Guardians fans.

The Guardians’ hot streak goes to show that the season is very, very long and patience is required.
After the first nine games, people were panicking as Cleveland went 3-6.
Right now, they are 14-9 and not only lead the AL Central but they are also tied with the Texas Rangers for the best record in the American League.
Not too shabby for a team accused of having no offense and a mediocre starting rotation.
The best part is that Cleveland will be getting back plenty of contributors in the upcoming weeks and months.
Shane Bieber, Trevor Stephan, Nic Enright, Franco Aleman, Lane Thomas, and many others are currently on the injured list working their way back.
Cleveland should be in the thick of things all year long.
It will be another exciting year for the Guardians and their exciting project.
