The Cleveland Guardians want to finish the season strong.
With that in mind, they’ve added some help from their farm system.
Unfortunately, Travis Bazzana and Chase DeLauter still aren’t deemed ready to make an impact, but there’s more than enough available talent in the minors.
With MLB rosters expanding, Cleveland recalled pitcher Zak Kent and outfielder Jhonkensy Noel, and will finally bring outfielder George Valera to the majors.
According to Guards Insider, it also optioned infielder Will Wilson to Columbus.

Fans are already familiar with what Kent brings to the table.
He’s been called up multiple times this season, and though he hasn’t been used that much, he can be a serviceable reliever in low-stakes situations.
As for Noel, he was expected to have a prominent role on the offense after his postseason heroics last season.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
He struggled at the plate, up to the point where it was evident that he needed a stint at Triple-A to get his confidence back.
Now, he will have a big opportunity to redeem himself and prove that he can still be a steady contributor.
Last but not least, Valera has finally fulfilled his destiny.
He entered the farm system with high expectations, but injuries derailed his promising potential.
Now that he’s finally healthy, he can prove why the organization was so high on him in the first place.
