The Cleveland Guardians have a strength: their pitching staff.
It’s talented, deep, and versatile.
It’s filled with experience, yet a lot of youth and, most importantly, a high ceiling.
A specialized Guardians Twitter account highlighted the incredible talent on the staff, and potential solutions for trades, injuries, and/or ineffectiveness.
“Nobody in the AL Central currently is close or has the potential to be a dominant rotation as the #Guardians if healthy. 1) Tanner Bibee 2) Gavin Williams 3) Triston McKenzie 4) Shane Bieber 5) Logan Allen. Even if Bieber is traded could get arm in trade to plug in or go w/ high upside prospect in Cantillo,” Guardians Prospective tweeted.

One of the best rookies of the 2023 season, Bibee is the future ace of this club.
He had a solid 2.98 ERA in 142 innings this past campaign and didn’t show his age at all.
Then you have fellow 2023 rookie Williams, who posted an equally impressive 3.29 ERA in 82 frames.
That’s a solid one-two punch, with talent and potential for more.
Under normal circumstances, Bieber and McKenzie would be the one-two punch.
An uncertain future (Bieber) and injury questions (McKenzie) bump them to the middle of the staff, per Guardians Prospective.
The solid Allen (3.81 ERA in 2023) rounds out the rotation, a unit that also has depth beyond those five.
They just signed Ben Lively and also boast Xzavion Curry, Cody Morris, Hunter Gaddis, Joey Cantillo, and even uber-prospect Daniel Espino, who might not be ready for the bigs in 2024 but represents the future nonetheless.
With a couple of impact, power bats in specific positions, the Guardians’ roster could look very, very good.
