The Cleveland Guardians had a major concern all season.
Their offense simply wasn’t good enough, and while they were able to get the job done more often than not, it was bound to catch up with them at some point.
As expected, it didn’t take long before that cost them in the playoffs.
Now, with the offseason ahead, they need to fix that.
When asked his thoughts about the offseason priorities, former Cleveland manager Mike Hargrove had a clear choice.
"They need a couple of guys that they can surround Jose Ramirez with."

Unfortunately, given the way the front office has operated in the past, it’s hard to feel encouraged or optimistic.
Granted, the Guardians will look to make moves, but they likely will continue to be bargain hunters rather than making the big splash needed to become a legitimate World Series contender.
They can’t afford to keep wasting Ramirez’s prime, but unless the right trade partner comes up, that might be the case again next season.
Of course, their young players could provide a boost, as they all figure to be strong hitters once they get a full season of MLB experience.
Then again, as much as the Guardians need to allow them to grow through their mistakes, they also need proven players who can help them win games right away.
