The entire league knows by now that the Cleveland Guardians have an elite bullpen.
Many experts and specialists in the area say that it’s the best in MLB, and the stats appear to support that claim.
When your bullpen posts a 2.57 ERA over a full 162-game season and the next-best is at 3.11, there is not much room for discussion.
Cleveland sports personality Bruce Drennan is convinced that there is no bullpen in baseball like the Guardians’.
In fact, he is willing to make a bold claim.
“Do the Guardians have the best bullpen in the major leagues? “Just get that game to the 5th, 6th inning I think we’ll be fine!” The Bruce Drennan Show posted on X with a clip of his analysis.

The Guards’ bullpen was already incredible in 2024, but it could be even better this time around.
The unit will feature its stellar foursome again: Emmanuel Clase, Cade Smith, Hunter Gaddis, and Tim Herrin will all return.
But there is more.
Andrew Walters returned to spring training action on Saturday and should be an asset going forward.
Erik Sabrowski is currently on the shelf, but Kolby Allard and Logan Allen are both performing and could be in a position to join the bullpen as quality lefties.
Southpaw Doug Nikhazy is just a call away, too.
The group could also have Nic Enright soon, as well as Franco Aleman in a few weeks after he recovers from sports hernia surgery.
These are all incredibly talented arms, and there could be more joining depending on how the rotation plans play out.
For example, either Triston McKenzie or Ben Lively (or Allen) could fill the long man role.
Drennan also talks about a new bullpen addition for 2025: Paul Sewald.
The righty has ample setup and closing experience and could be a nice piece for Cleveland.
There is enough depth and quality in the unit to, like Drennan says, shut down the door after the fifth or sixth inning.
The starters and the offense will have to do their job, though.
