The Cleveland Guardians have never been the type of team that’s going to make big moves. If anything, they will move on from their superstars.
However, we’ve seen some crazy things happen in the early stages of the offseason. The New York Mets are clearly transitioning towards a new era, and that might not include some of their most prominent players.
With that in mind, team analyst Cade Cracas had an interesting proposal. He took to X to urge the Guardians to try to bring Francisco Lindor back to Progressive Field.
Could you IMAGINE if Francisco Lindor retuned to The Land?
I mean, why not? The Mets obviously aren’t in a good spot anymore. I’m not gonna say the #Guardians are contenders, but the future looks bright here.
Let’s have a good ole-fashioned reunion.

Given the way the Mets have operated lately, it wouldn’t be that surprising to see them move on from their superstar middle infielder. Also, as great a player as he is, he has left something to be desired in Queens, and rumors have it that he’s never truly gotten along with Juan Soto.
That being said, the Guardians have seemed to move on at the position. They’re not the type of team that’s going to break the bank or give up valuable prospects to get a veteran; there’s a reason why Lindor isn’t in Cleveland anymore.
The fans would certainly love to watch one of the best players in recent franchise history return home. Instead, they might have to settle with hoping that Travis Bazzana turns out to be as good as advertised.
Lindor might be on his way out; you never know in this crazy line of business. Whether he’ll be back in Cleveland, that’s a whole different story.
