The Cleveland Guardians came one series short of appearing in their first World Series since 2016.
After finishing with a record of 92 wins and 69 losses and winning the American League Central, the Guardians lost to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.
The Guardians have a young roster that lacks a ton of big-name players, but Jose Ramirez is the exception to that.
Ramirez is likely who people think of when the Guardians are brought up, and one MLB Analyst gave Ramirez a notable honor.
According to MLB Analyst Joel Reuter, Ramirez was the top third baseman in baseball during 2024.

Reuter ranked Ramirez ahead of other star third basemen including Matt Chapman of the San Francisco Giants, Rafael Devers of the Boston Red Sox, and Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros.
Ramirez came into the league in 2013 with the Guardians and has played all 12 seasons of his career with the organization.
In 2024, Ramirez had another exceptional season where he batted .279 with 39 home runs, 118 RBIs, and a .872 OPS.
Ramirez made the all-star team for the fourth straight season and helped lead the Guardians offense on a postseason run to the ALCS.
The Guardians will need Ramirez’s bat again next season if they want to repeat as AL Central champions.
Two other AL Central teams made the postseason in 2024 along with the Guardians including the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals.
Ramirez and the Guardians will look to get back to the postseason in 2025 and win their first World Series title since 1948.
