With the trade deadline arriving today, rumors will be swirling like crazy as teams try to put the final touches on their rosters for the stretch run.
One name that has been showing up in trade rumors is shortstop Amed Rosario.
With a burgeoning class of middle infielders, the Cleveland Guardians may not have a fit for Rosario for much longer.
But last night, he made a case to stay in Cleveland as he picked up the game-winning hit off of Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Mark Melancon.
Talkin’ Baseball tweeted a video of Rosario winning the game for Cleveland and sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Will The Guardians Trade Rosario?
If Rosario can do more of that, then there’s reason for the Guardians to keep him around.
Rosario is having a good season too.
He’s hitting .294 with five home runs and 38 RBI.
He’s a valuable right-handed bat for any team that is looking to acquire him.
But if the Guardians stay in the thick of the race, then there’s really no reason to trade him, especially if he can keep coming through in the clutch.
Sure, Andres Gimenez‘s natural position is shortstop and there are plenty of young middle infielders knocking on the door, but making a decision on whether or not to trade Rosario just got harder for Cleveland.
If they do move him, they might just wait until the offseason.
With the Guardians down just a game in the AL Central, it would make sense to keep a veteran guy like him who can hit and play multiple positions.
We’ll see what the Guardians decide to do today, but keeping him around might be the best move, especially if he delivers more clutch hits like last night.
