The Cleveland Guardians and the Minnesota Twins, the two best teams in the AL Central division, played a thrilling game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Guardians ended up on the winning side, in large part thanks to a clutch hit by Amed Rosario.
“THE GUARDIANS TAKE THE LEAD!!! @Amed_Rosario hits a 2-RBI single in the bottom of the 8th!!” Bally Sports Cleveland tweeted.

It was a ground ball to center field hit on a hanging slider by Twins setup man Emilio Pagan.
The Guardians are now 37-33 and broke a recent funk.
They are still two games behind the 42-34 Twins, but the gap is very much manageable.
As for Rosario, he is probably enjoying his best stint as a member of the Guardians.
Rosario Is Enjoying A Nice Little Streak At The Plate In His Last Seven
In the last seven games (including Tuesday’s afternoon affair, in which he went 3-for-4 with a run and two RBI), Rosario is slashing .444/.483/.630 (12-for-27) with a home run and a stolen base.
For the season as a whole, his slash line is up to .282/.315/.382 (.697 OPS) with his recent hot streak.
Rosario is a bit streaky and doesn’t have too much upside in the power and speed department, but his best version can hit close to .300, for what it’s worth.
Overall, perhaps Cleveland expected a bit more when they traded Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco for Rosario and three other young players, but Rosario has been a serviceable infielder and remains young, at 26 years old.
He will be tasked with helping the Guardians win games and get closer to the Twins, with the hope of catching them this week.
Tuesday represented a great start.
