The Cleveland Guardians are 30-25 before taking the field this weekend.
They are coming off a challenging stretch against the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers when they won four of seven games.
Now, they will play a three-game set against the Los Angeles Angels at home.
Things could get difficult after that, though.
Cleveland will travel to play the New York Yankees and has tough matchups ahead against the Houston Astros, the Cincinnati Reds (who recently swept the Guardians), and two solid West Coast contenders, the Seattle Mariners and San Francisco Giants.
Cleveland sports analyst Bruce Drennan is worried about that upcoming schedule and issued a warning to fans.
“Be careful, because by then we could be OUT of it,” Drennan said.
With a TOUGH part of the schedule coming up for the #Guardians, Bruce isn't too confident they will still be in the hunt. #GuardsBall

The Guardians are the best AL Wild Card team, tied with the Minnesota Twins.
Things could get messy, though, if they don’t win enough games in the upcoming weeks.
Races can change in a hurry, and a bad month can be a death sentence for a team.
Cleveland’s rotation is inconsistent, and there are injury-related worries all over the roster.
Ace Shane Bieber is expected to return within the next three weeks, bringing a pitching solution with him.
The Guardians must prove they have enough elsewhere to fend off the competition and earn a return to the playoffs.
This rough stretch of games will help fans assess where the team is at.
