Toronto Blue Jays’ high-leverage reliever Yimi Garcia hadn’t allowed a single run in 14 innings this year, with 18 strikeouts to his name.
He picked a horrible spot to concede his first four runs of the season, though.
Down to their last out on Saturday, the Cleveland Guardians turned a 3-1 deficit against the Jays into a 5-3 lead thanks to an unlikely, but thrilling grand slam by Daniel Schneemann.

You could say this has been the most exciting homer by a Guardians hitter since Jhonkensky Noel and David Fry’s blasts last October against the New York Yankees.
It felt that way, at least.
It was Schneemann’s second homer of the day.
You could very well say that this was the Daniel Schneemann game: the man had two homers and drove in all five Guardians’ runs.
He is now hitting .276/.344/.552 for Cleveland this year.
In a season in which there has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the infield, those numbers are a breath of fresh air for the lineup.
After Schneemann’s ninth-inning slam, Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect frame to notch the save.
It looked like the Guardians were about to lose their second straight in Canada, but now, they have won four of their last five contests.
The Jays and the Guards will play the rubber game on Sunday, starting at 1:37 pm ET.
Cleveland will try to keep up the momentum and the energy of the clutch homer and take a much-needed series win.
For now, however, it’s all smiles in the visitors’ clubhouse at Rogers Centre thanks, in large part, to Schneemann.
