The Cleveland Guardians have given outfielder Will Brennan more than his fair share of chances over the years.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to do much with them, so the Guardians decided to give his roster spot to another player upon breaking camp this year.
Brennan did post disappointing OPS numbers of .655 and .697 in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
A good kid and a hard worker, he hasn’t taken the demotion lightly.
Quite the contrary, in fact. He has responded with an ongoing 14-game on-base streak with the Columbus Clippers in Triple-A.
He managed to keep it alive with a rocket single.
“Columbus Clippers OF Will Brennan extends his on-base streak to 14 straight games leading off the 3rd inning with a base hit against Louisville,” Guardians Prospective wrote on X.

Brennan’s Triple-A batting average is .329 with an .802 OPS.
Other than Steven Kwan, the Guardians outfielders are more good than great, which means Brennan could get himself into the picture again with an extended hot streak in Columbus.
Even if his power is somewhat limited (he hit just 13 home runs for Cleveland the past two years in 808 plate appearances), Brennan could be a solid organizational depth piece in the outfield.
All he needs is to sustain a long period of offensive dominance in Triple-A to catch the attention of the Guardians’ front office again.
