Spring training is exciting for many reasons.
Fans get to watch live, competitive baseball again for the first time in months.
They get to be excited about the upcoming season and the challenges ahead.
In February and March, everybody’s regular season record is 0-0 because the real thing hasn’t started.
Still, there are plenty of things to watch.
The Cleveland Guardians, for example, are an exciting, up-and-coming force in the American League.
On Saturday, their fans will get to watch three pitchers who were huge for them last year for the first time this spring.
“Cleveland #Guardians relievers Cade Smith, Hunter Gaddis and Tim Herrin are scheduled to pitch today making their spring debuts,” Guardians Prospective posted on X.

Smith, Gaddis, and Herrin were all integral parts of the league’s best bullpen in 2024.
They are all young, healthy, and highly motivated to repeat their success so they likely will keep silencing bats in the late innings this year.
Smith was perhaps the most underrated reliever in the majors last season, with a 1.91 ERA and 103 strikeouts.
Herrin gave Cleveland a reliable lefty and helped them cope with key injuries, with a 1.92 ERA.
Gaddis made a successful transition from a mediocre starter to a top reliever and posted a fantastic 1.57 ERA while serving as a bridge between the rest of the bullpen and closer Emmanuel Clase.
There isn’t a foursome in MLB as consistently dominant as Herrin, Smith, Gaddis, and Clase, and they will gladly prove it on the field again.
