Even though it’s been years since he last pitched in Major League Baseball, Trevor Bauer won’t give up on his playing career.
The former Cleveland Guardians All-Star has re-signed a deal with the Yokohama DeNa BayStars of Japan’s NPB.
The 34-year-old hurler spent one year in the Nippon Professional Baseball League in 2023 before joining the Diablos Rojos de Mexico in the Mexican League in 2024.

In his previous stint with the Bay Stars, he logged an 11-4 record with a 2.59 ERA and 160 strikeouts in 24 starts.
He was even better in his lone season on Mexican soil, going 10-0 with a 2.48 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 14 games.
The often controversial Bauer has been very active on YouTube and social media, offering fans an in-depth look at his preparation, games, and more.
Bauer has been away from the league since 2021 when the Los Angeles Dodgers parted ways with him.
He faced a sexual assault lawsuit, and Commissioner Robert Manfred placed him on administrative leave before suspending him for a record 324 games.
His suspension was reduced to 194 games by an arbitrator shortly after.
Also, the lawsuit was dismissed after both parties reached a settlement.
Even so, and despite clearly still being a very serviceable pitcher, the former Cy Young Award winner hasn’t gotten another opportunity to return to the Big Show.
