Cleveland Guardians’ No. 1 overall pick, Travis Bazzana, is likely still at least a year or two away from emerging on the team’s big-league roster, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a major impact in other ways.
This team will be ready for him whenever he is ready to make his major league debut, but for now, he is tearing it up with Team Australia and recently surprised his teammates with a nice gift.
Bazzana is in Japan, debuting with the Australian senior national team in the Premier12 tournament.
Analyst Shawn Spradling recently shared a video on X of Bazzana gifting all his teammates with new Nike Dunks.

Bazzana became the first Australian player drafted in the first round of the MLB Draft earlier this year and won Pac-12 Player of the Year at Oregon State, but Guardians fans are quickly getting acquainted with how their future superstar is just as good a guy off the field as he is on it.
The No. 1 pick has already flashed the skill that made him the top pick during this tournament and will surely be a crucial part of Australia’s World Baseball Classic team in 2026.
Bazzana played 27 games in A+ ball for Cleveland before the season ended and posted a .765 OPS.
At 22 years old and with so much experience under his belt, Bazzana could storm through the minors and make it to Cleveland sooner rather than later, which would be a massive plus for this lineup that fell just short of reaching the World Series in 2024.
Maybe he’ll get his Guardians teammates some new Dunks as well.
